Putin Takes a Stand

As Putin bans GMOs and the sale of carbonated drinks in Russia to underage children, America continues to kill its own youth with GMO cereals, snacks, vegetables, genetically modified pork, and fluorinated water. And if the food doesn’t poison you, the container surely will.

A study published online January 22, 2015 in PLOS Genetics found that even small amounts of exposure to BPA can change stem cells and affect reproduction. Although the FDA banned BPA in baby bottles in 2012, it is still used today in food containers and packaging.

Over the last several decades, researchers have noted declining sperm counts in Europe, Japan, and the United States. In Denmark, more than 40 percent of young men have sperm counts associated with infertility or decreased fertility.

First, let me be clear that I would rather the government not ban anything I choose to put in my pie hole. I also don’t want it telling me that giving a carbonated drink to my underage child is a crime. What I am against is the government-sanctioned killing of our population by green lighting the use of dangerous GMOs and chemicals in our food supply because big corporations stand to profit.

Second, although it can be said that Moscow halted the import of sodas and other processed food from the West in retaliation for economic sanctions, they are successfully standing up against the machinations of Western big corporations and bankers. Yet, here in the United States, in a supposedly democratic society, and despite the fact that millions of Americans are opposed to GMOs, we are losing the battle and our voices are not heard.

It is hard to reconcile why our own government not only sanctions poisoning its own citizens, but why they are so relentlessly bent on rendering the next generation of Americans unable to successfully reproduce or defend themselves. Weak, sick children will make weak, sick adults.

But if one cares to draw the curtain back from the wizard, it is easy to see the levers are being pulled by a select few who are heralding the collapse of America by removing its borders, sickening its population, and selling us into slavery to the banking industry. They have raped us for our labor and our natural resources and they no longer have a vested interested in sustaining us as a sovereign nation. After all, there is a big global world to conquer now.

I wish that I could say I believe that those who are controlling our government could be stopped or that it wasn’t true that we have been taken over through stealth. But like many Americans, when I know the truth, I can face it fairly squarely. It is the truth that I have not known that is so hard to wrap my mind around.

The propaganda machine of big government, powerful lobbyist groups, international corporations, and a select few who believe more in AI as a bridge to eternity rather than believing in an eternal creator, is quickly reaching its zenith.

I believe that our only alternative at this point is to prepare for the coming collapse of our nation and to get right with our God. And unfortunately, many Americans have become weary of end of the world scenarios and no longer listen to those watchman on the wall who are methodically, logically, and clearly laying out the disasters they see coming on the not so distant horizon, both in and outside of biblical prophecy.

Once you become unplugged from the alternative unreality that the media and big government are promulgating, that is that they actually care about its citizens and its sovereignty and that we are a democracy, it isn’t hard to see a great evil underfoot, one that is ultimately meant to benefit only a select few.

Biblical prophecy and historical events have all been recorded for our understanding and learning. Romans 15:4 tells us, “For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.”

Okay then. I believe that’s called learning from our mistakes. Or in the words of philosopher George Santayana, “Those who do not know history’s mistakes are doomed to repeat them.” As I read these passages below from the book of Nahum this morning regarding the destruction of the city of Nineveh, a seat of great power in the ancient world, it struck me how apropos they were to modern day America.

Woe to Nineveh

Woe to the city of blood,
full of lies, full of plunder,
never without victims!
The crack of whips,
the clatter of wheels, galloping horses
and jolting chariots!
Charging cavalry,
flashing swords
and glittering spears!

Many casualties,
piles of dead, bodies without number,
people stumbling over the corpses—
all because of the wanton lust of a prostitute,
alluring, the mistress of sorceries, who enslaved nations by her prostitution
and peoples by her witchcraft.

“I am against you,” declares the Lord Almighty.
“I will lift your skirts over your face. I will show the nations your nakedness
and the kingdoms your shame.
I will pelt you with filth,
I will treat you with contempt
and make you a spectacle.
All who see you will flee from you and say,
‘Nineveh is in ruins—who will mourn for her?’
Where can I find anyone to comfort you?”

Are you better than Thebes,
situated on the Nile, with water around her?
The river was her defense,
the waters her wall.
and Egypt were her boundless strength;
Put and Libya were among her allies.
Yet she was taken captive
and went into exile.

Her infants were dashed to pieces
at every street corner. Lots were cast for her nobles,
and all her great men were put in chains.
You too will become drunk;
you will go into hiding
and seek refuge from the enemy.

All your fortresses are like fig trees
with their first ripe fruit; when they are shaken,
the figs fall into the mouth of the eater.
Look at your troops—they are all weaklings.
The gates of your land
are wide open to your enemies;
fire has consumed the bars of your gates.

Draw water for the siege,
strengthen your defenses! Work the clay,
tread the mortar,
repair the brickwork!
There the fire will consume you;
the sword will cut you down—
they will devour you like a swarm of locusts.

Multiply like grasshoppers,
multiply like locusts!
You have increased the number of your merchants
till they are more numerous than the stars in the sky,
but like locusts they strip the land
and then fly away.

Your guards are like locusts,
your officials like swarms of locusts
that settle in the walls on a cold day—
but when the sun appears they fly away,
and no one knows where.

King of Assyria, your shepherds slumber;
your nobles lie down to rest.
Your people are scattered on the mountains
with no one to gather them.

Nothing can heal you;
your wound is fatal.
All who hear the news about you
clap their hands at your fall, for who has not felt
your endless cruelty?

Though this passage in scripture details the condition of a wicked people, it was God’s desire to save Nineveh. In His great compassion, He sent his reluctant servant Jonah to warn them of their coming destruction unless they changed. “Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.”

The book of Jonah ends with the prophet pouting that God relented from destroying Nineveh on that day because the people repented, and God tells Jonah, “…And should I not have concern for the great city of Nineveh, in which there are more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left—and also many animals?” (Jonah 3:10-11)

Sadly, the citizens of Nineveh ultimately turned back to their wicked ways and the city was destroyed. There is a limit to what God will tolerate before sending judgment, if only to spare further victimization or His own remnant of people. “The Lord is slow to anger and great in power; the Lord will not leave the guilty unpunished. (Nahum 1:3)

And just as those of us who are awake to the propaganda and watching in horror as the young lions tear apart what is left of our nation, it seems as if there is no one to stay the hand of our own destruction:

“Nineveh is like a pool, and its water is draining away.
“Stop! Stop!” they cry, but no one turns back.
Plunder the silver! Plunder the gold!
The supply is endless, the wealth from all its treasures!
She is pillaged, plundered, stripped!
Hearts melt, knees give way, bodies tremble, every face grows pale.

Where now is the lions’ den, the place where they fed their young,
where the lion and lioness went, and the cubs, with nothing to fear?
The lion killed enough for his cubs and strangled the prey for his mate,
filling his lairs with the kill and his dens with the prey.

“I am against you,” declares the Lord Almighty.
“I will burn up your chariots in smoke,
and the sword will devour your young lions.
I will leave you no prey on the earth.
The voices of your messengers will no longer be heard.” (Nahum 2:8-13)

The home of the once free, the once proud, and the once brave has been captured by an enemy we are unable to conquer and He is us. And like in that great city of Nineveh, a day may be fast approaching when the voices of our messengers will no longer be heard.
